Like some of his team-mates, 27-year-old Netherton has found himself in a new role for 2010, having been switched to the back row. And he says it has taken time for him to adapt to his new position. "I've been asked to play a different role this year in the back row which is taking some getting used to," Netherton told the Mail. "I'm getting there, and when the dry grounds come that will really help my game. "Now I'm in the back row, I'm out wide more and I'm finding it hard to get my timing right. "I'm used to being closer to the ruck and taking the ball a lot closer to the play-the-balls. "The timing is a bit different when you are out wide and defensively out wide you have more space to cover. "I thought I had a bit of a breakthrough on Saturday night at Castleford. I felt I played okay and hopefully if I'm asked to play there again this weekend I can kick on. "My form has been the same as the team's. Very average really." Netherton has averaged 27 tackles in the last two games to emphasise the shift from metre-maker to defensive force. And with the arrival of Joel Clinton and the emergence of Liam Watts, Netherton understands the reasons behind his switch to the second row. Now he is concentrating on perfecting his game Clip on charms for Sunday's clash with St Helens, and he believes a tough clash at Castleford was good preparation. "It was a tough game and we showed a lot of character coming back from the deficits we did," he said. "St Helens are a good team, as history has shown, and we are going to have to be good this week and battle hard to beat them. "We had to battle last week and that will lead on nicely into this game. "Saints have so many talented players and potential matchwinners in their team. "You cannot single one or two of them out as you have to stop the whole team. "On the edges they are pretty dangerous with Matt Gidley and Francis Meli and Paul Wellens when he comes into the line. links of london charms "We are going to have to be on our mettle around the edge and in the middle. "We have some big, strong players who can offload the ball and hopefully we can toughen up and get the win." What do you think?
